Apple is starting to appear to be the top contender to land the PAC-12’s new media rights.
The PAC-12 and commissioner George Kliavkoff have been attempting to land a new media deal as the conference enters the final football season of its current one.
So far, no deal has been reached, and the situation as a whole has pretty much been chaos.
It now appears there might be a little clarity. Jim Williams reported Friday that the tech giant “wants the ENTIRE tier one package” in a new media deal.
That means Apple would get all of the PAC-12’s best games.

Antonio Brown reportedly wrote a huge check to avoid being arrested for not paying child support.
A judge in Miami-Dade County ordered Brown arrested back on April 14 for not paying child support to his ex Wiltrice Jackson, according to TMZ. However, it looks like Brown managed to smooth the situation out without ending up behind bars.
Brown posted a receipt after paying $33,260.58 in child support, according to the same report. That means the former NFL WR is going to have the cuffs slapped on.

On Friday night, the Knicks took a commanding 2–1 series lead over the Cavaliers thanks to a 99–79 win at Madison Square Garden. In the process, New York did something extremely rare in the NBA in this day and age.
By holding Cleveland to 79 points, the Knicks became the first team all year to hold their opponent to under 80 points. The last team to score fewer than 80 points in a game was the Heat in the playoffs last season.
The majority of New York’s defensive success came in the first half, as Cleveland scored just 32 points in the first 24 minutes of play.

Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto thought he was hit by a pitch on Friday night vs. the Rockies, so he told umpire Alex Tosi. That was apparently enough for Tosi, as he awarded Realmuto first base, even though he didn’t initially call it a hit-by-pitch.
Rockies manager Bud Black disagreed with Tosi, but Colorado could not challenge as they had already lost their challenge earlier in the game. Therefore, all he could do was argue with Tosi about the home plate umpire’s decision to just believe that Realmuto was correct. So, Black got his money’s worth and was tossed from the game.

The newly created Jersey City Marathon and Half-Marathon will create a separate category for non-binary competitors.
The event, which will be held on Sunday, has roughly 6,300 runners signed up. Out of the 6,300 competitors, 10 are non-binary.
According to the Star-Ledger, the race will feature male and female categories, along with the additional non-binary category.
The top finishers in each category will receive a cash prize. Those in the male and female groups will get $5,000, with the non-binary winner receiving $1,000.
