The drone camera is not ready for prime time.
TV networks are always searching for the next new thing in broadcasting, and on Wednesday night TNT debuted a drone flying over the court during Game 2 of the Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers second round series in the 2023 NBA Playoffs.
The drone got some cool footage, but there was one big problem: it was visible flying above the court during the standard broadcast angle, and it was completely distracting.

New Jersey and Ohio have both issued emergency orders to ban sports gamblers from placing wagers on games involving Alabama baseball, and now the Southeastern Conference has addressed the controversy that involves a member institution.
SEC commissioner Greg Sankey released a statement regarding the ongoing suspension of wagering for Alabama baseball.
“We are aware of reports related to the suspension of wagering Alabama baseball games,” Sankey said Wednesday night. “We will continue to monitor available information and any regulatory activity.

Trevor Lawrence isn’t usually the most active quarterback on social media, but he saw something Thursday morning that he couldn’t hold his tongue about. 
NFL Network held a segment in which analyst Kyle Brandy ranked AFC quarterbacks from tiers one through six with one being the highest. Lawrence, who was named to the Pro Bowl and led his team to a playoff win this past season, was in the No. 6 category. He did not appear to agree. 
“The game ain’t played on paper,” he said on Twitter.
He was placed on the same level with Kenny Pickett, Mac Jones and Tua Tagovailoa.
