BATON ROUGE, La. – Tennessee was the No. 1 college baseball team in the country for 12 consecutive weeks a year ago after its first top ranking in history.
The Volunteers dominated the Southeastern Conference regular season with six, three-game sweeps and won 10 of 11 league series. But UT was upset by No. 6 Notre Dame in the best-of-three Super Regional.

Dylan Raiola, the top quarterback prospect in the class of 2024, announced on social media that he will attend the University of Georgia. Raiola is the son of former offensive lineman Dominic Raiola, who played in the NFL for 14 years, all with the Lions.
Before committing to Georgia, Raiola also considered Nebraska and USC, among a variety of visits. He also at one point committed to Ohio State, but he de-committed in December and reopened his recruitment.

It’s no secret that Quinnen Williams is seeking a lucrative contract extension from the Jets.
While other defensive linemen, such as the Giants’ Dexter Lawrence, the Titans’ Jeffrey Simmons and the Commanders’ Daron Payne all signed new deals this offseason, Williams, who’s entering the final year of his current deal, still is waiting for his payday.
Williams has made it known he wants a new contract in many ways, including by skipping the Jets’ offseason workouts. On Monday, he continued to nudge the team by changing his twitter bio and removing a reference to the Jets.

Two hot teams in the NL Central matchup tonight as the Cardinals host the Brewers in St. Louis.
After starting the season slowly, the Cardinals are now starting to click, winning six of their last seven games, including a three-game sweep of the Red Sox over the weekend. Through the first two weeks of May, the Cardinals have scored the fifth-most runs per game (5.58) and they will be looking to stretch their win streak to four at home tonight.
The Brewers are also coming in on a three-game win streak vs. the Royals. Milwaukee is averaging 4.
