Sports networks always seem to be looking for new opportunities to keep things fresh on their broadcasts.
TNT, however, may have taken that directive too far Wednesday evening.
During Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals between the 76ers and Celtics in Boston, the network flew a drone over the TD Garden floor to provide a supplemental camera angle. Additionally, the drone was clearly visible from the game’s main camera angle.
The picture displayed by the small craft was widely derided in social media, as was its presence in the main picture.

Former Cowboys quarterback Ben DiNucci has received an invitation to training camp from the Broncos, the XFL announced on Wednesday. 
DiNucci most recently served as the quarterback for the upstart Seattle Sea Dragons during the 2023 XFL season, but he’ll get a chance to get back into the NFL following the invitation to Denver’s training camp. 
The 26-year-old last appeared in the NFL in 2020 with Dallas, when he featured in a total of three games, making one start. The Cowboys selected him in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL draft out of James Madison.

The USFL wrapped up Week 3 this past weekend and the New Jersey Generals moved to 2-1 on the campaign. They defeated the Michigan Panthers, 28-13. The Generals got a huge game from running back Darius Victor.
Victor ran for 68 yards on just nine carries and a touchdown. He added a 51-yard touchdown reception, accounting for two of the team’s four touchdowns.
The TD catch came on a screen pass where Victor took the ball up the sideline, blazing past defenders.

A man obsessed with WWE’s Sonya Deville, 29, is getting 15 years in prison after stalking and plotting to kidnap the wrestling star.
The creepy stalker, Phillip Thomas II, agreed to a plea deal on Wednesday, sentencing him to 15 years in prison, with an added 15 years of probation upon release.

So far, Tampa Bay has had the upper hand—a fact reflected in Pittsburgh manager Derek Shelton’s dramatic meltdown during the second game of the series Wednesday evening.
As Rays pitcher Shane McClanahan entered his windup in the bottom of the fourth inning with his team up 3-1, Shelton stormed out the dugout and began arguing with third base umpire and crew chief Adrian Johnson.
