Outfielder Connor Joe handed out T-shirts emblazoned with the phrase “Good Vibes Only” last week, and his teammates have seemingly taken the message to heart, boosting the energy with all kinds of inspired fun. A home run is now rewarded not just with a pirate-inspired cutlass celebration but also with a custom blazer. The night’s best performer is greeted at his locker with a stuffed Pikachu. And their play on the field has been just as strong as all of this would suggest.

Bobby Taylor plans to return to Texas A&M if the Aggies will have him. He has pulled a 180º.
Taylor, a redshirt freshman, committed to play for Jimbo Fisher as part of the program’s historic, No. 1-ranked recruiting Class of 2022. The former four-star prospect chose Texas A&M over multiple other SEC offers and played a big role in recruiting other athletes to the school.
Injury kept Taylor off of the field for much of his first year, and he was limited during the recent spring period. It was not an ideal start to his tenure in College Station.

A public golf course in New York has rescinded a policy that asked some players to take a breathalyzer test after their rounds following a social media backlash.
The Buffalo Tournament Club, located in the suburb of Lancaster east of the city, began asking all players this season to pay a $5 “corkage fee” that permitted them to bring their own alcohol to drink on the course. Any player who didn’t want to drink could have the fee refunded at the end of the round if they paid $1 to take a breathalyzer test to prove they hadn’t consumed any alcohol.

With Tom Brady no longer playing football, his niece has now taken the mantle as best current athlete in the family. Maya Brady is currently a junior at UCLA and one of the has been one of best players on the Bruins’ softball team for a few years.
Over the weekend, Tom attended a UCLA softball game to watch his niece play against Arizona State. Afterwards, he posted a picture on Instagram of the two together with the caption: “Night at the ballpark. Big W!”
Maya, then responded to her uncle with a sweet message.
“I love you Uncle Tommy,” she wrote.

The  Bills own the 27th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and according to SI Sportsbook, they are most likely to take a wide receiver (+200), with linebacker (+280) being another likely option in the first round for Buffalo. Taking a wideout would break from the recent trend of drafting a defensive player with their first pick. The Bills have taken a defensive player in the first round in each of the past four drafts (2019-2022). Josh Allen was the last offensive player drafted in the first round for the Bills. Their star signal-caller was selected seventh overall in the 2018 draft.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith doubled down on his criticism of Kawhi Leonard on Monday after it was revealed that the Clippers star’s sister was sentenced to life in prison for murder the same day Smith ripped Leonard.
“You know, I said some things on this show last week about Kawhi Leonard as a superstar. I meant every word of it,” Smith said on First Take. “Having said all of that, I said it unaware of some of the personal things his family has gotten into. 
“I had no knowledge of that at the time that I said it,” Smith continued. “Otherwise, obviously, I would not have said it.

After last season’s dramatic field-storming incidents, the SEC is considering a major change to its rule book for personnel safety. It all started after the Tennessee win over Alabama, when Greg Sankey decided to look into future changes.
According to Pat Forde, one way the SEC is trying to prevent fans from storming the field is the threat of losing a future home game. Commissioner Greg Sankey formed a committee to put together ideas in hopes of preventing further incidents.
The incident that sparked this conversation came in Knoxville, following Tennessee’s victory over Alabama.

After growing up as the son of high school Hall of Fame basketball coach Bob Hurley and the brother of former 1st Round NBA Draft pick Bobby Hurley, Dan Hurley did something that no one else in his family has accomplished at the beginning of this month. The 50-year-old became a national champion.
Hurley led the UConn to its first national title since 2013/14, which marked his first as a head coach and the first in his family.
