Former LSU men’s basketball player Wayne Sims passed away on Wednesday, according to a statement from the Tigers’ athletic department — Sims was 54. No cause of death has been determined.
Sims, who played in Baton Rouge under coach Dale Brown from 1987 to 1991, built an understated legacy in Baton Rogue. The 6-foot-7, 247-lb. Tiger was a bruising big man whose contributions on the scoring front and on the glass proved vital to the team’s four consecutive NCAA appearances in the tournament.

Giants reliever Taylor Rogers had an outing to forget against the Dodgers on Wednesday night. The righthander came on to pitch the start of the sixth inning for San Francisco, but proceeded to walk four consecutive batters without recording an out before getting pulled by manager Gabe Kapler.
After the difficult showing on the hill, Rogers could be seen throwing his glove into a trash can in the dugout. 
The 32-year-old walked Trayce Thompson to start the inning, before giving free passes to Chris Taylor and Mookie Betts.

UCLA is set to lose another key leader to the NBA.
Star point guard Tyger Campbell announced on Wednesday night that he is declaring for the 2023 NBA draft. Campbell is set to depart for the pros after four seasons with the Bruins, during which he made three All-Pac-12 teams and played in three NCAA tournaments. 
The 23-year-old shared his draft announcement via a post on Instagram, which included a heartfelt message.

Lock him up and throw away the key! A drunk fan in attendance for the Colorado Rockies’ home game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Apr. 10 committed a massive party foul by tackling Rockies mascot Dinger.
As the 6-foot purple triceratops danced for fans, the fan walked to the top of the dugout and went for Dinger’s legs.
Respecting the high-spirited mascot is an unspoken rule for baseball games, so watching this act of aggression from the rogue fan was a sad moment for Colorado sports. Imagine this happening to Rocky or Miles the Bronco … despicable.

Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce and Yankees slugger Aaron Judge seem to have linked up for a bit of batting practice recently. The pair featured in a video for A SHOC ENERGY, in which Judge was seen giving Kelce some pointers on how best to swing the bat. 
Kelce soaked in the advice and showcased his batting stance for the reigning AL MVP, which included a massive leg kick that Judge insisted would strike fear into an opposing pitcher.
