President Joe Biden hosted Bills safety Damar Hamlin at the White House on Thursday.
Hamlin, who went into cardiac arrest during Buffalo’s game against the Bengals on Jan. 2, has made a miraculous recovery since being hospitalized after being administered CPR on the field that night. According to many reports, Hamlin is not willing to allow his injury to prevent him from making a return to the field next season.
As he continues his recovery, Hamlin took a trip to the nation’s capital to meet with POTUS.

HOUSTON — The Great Resignation has hit the college basketball coaching ranks hard in recent years: Roy Williams hung it up at North Carolina in 2021; Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski and Villanova’s Jay Wright followed in ’22; Jim Boeheim was encouraged by Syracuse to join them this year.
The game was changing rapidly around them. Name, Image and Likeness rules and the transfer portal were altering the way coaches construct rosters. If the old guard didn’t like the new reality, it seemed like an opportune time to check out.
Former NBA hooper Matt Barnes thinks he’s fit to run for office, with 14 seasons in the league to his political resumé.
In a recent podcast interview, Barnes, 43, shared that he’s made it a goal to be in political office by the time he’s in his 50s, saying he’ll run for mayor or governor … whichever’s easier.
“I gave myself a goal back in my 30s that by the time I turn 50, I wanted to run for some sort of office,” Barnes told Rachel Uchitel on the “Miss Understood” podcast.

College baseball umpire Reggie Drummer made a controversial call earlier this month on a strike three pitch. The moment went viral since the pitch was clearly outside the strike zone and ended the game.
In a matchup between Mississippi Valley State and New Orleans, Drummer rang up MVSU hitter Davon Mims on a pitch well outside of the zone. On the pitch just before, Mims argued with Drummer about strike two.
Drummer’s call on strike three looked like it was about more than just calling balls and strikes. It looked to be bigger than Mims’ complaints, too.
