Trade details: Packers send quarterback Aaron Rodgers, 2023 first- and fifth-round choices (Nos. 15 and 170) to Jets for a ’23 first-, second- and sixth-round picks (Nos. 13, 42 and 207) from the Jets. A conditional 2024 second-round pick becomes a first-round selection if Rodgers plays 65 percent of the plays.
Jets grade: C
Packers grade: A-minus
For the Jets, this was a necessary-but-costly move. New York started 7–4 last season before losing six consecutive games to close the season out, largely because its quarterbacks were Mike White, Zach Wilson and Joe Flacco.

That news that we’ve all been waiting on for what feels like forever was broken by ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter on Monday afternoon, and he did so on live TV, which led to some tremendous reactions by the other analysts on NFL Live.

Deion Sanders and the Colorado football program had a packed house of fans in attendance for their spring game Saturday, but the program was dealt a significant blow on Monday.
According to Max Olson of The Athletic, as many as 15 Buffaloes scholarship players entered the transfer portal on Monday.
While Colorado’s football program seemed to be making significant strides under the leadership of Sanders, the mass exodus of scholarship players is a big loss. 
Among the players entering the portal include some key offensive weapons from last year’s squad.

Weeks of speculation drew to a close on Monday when it was announced that the New York Jets and the Green Bay Packers came to agreement on a trade package involving the four-time NFL MVP.

The NFL has announced 37 compensatory selections, and here is the full draft order
The full order for the 2023 NFL draft is now set.
This week the NFL awarded compensatory selections for the 2023 NFL Draft to 16 different teams. In total, 37 compensatory picks were awarded. Compensatory picks are awarded to teams that lost key free agents during the previous offseason. Those picks are awarded “based on salary, playing time, and postseason honors” according to the league.

Of the countless names that hit the transfer portal this offseason, Bear Alexander may have been the biggest. Both literally and physically.
Alexander, born Keithian Deshun, got his nickname because he stands 6-foot-3, 305 pounds. The former four-star defensive line recruit hails from Texas but finished his high school career at IMG Academy before choosing to play for Georgia over 28 other offers from Alabama, Miami, Auburn and Baylor, among others.

Alexander initially committed to Texas A&M, but later flipped and committed to Kirby Smart.

Last week, longtime NFL reporter Bob McGinn published what he believed to be scores for this year’s quarterback class. Kings guard De’Aaron Fox broke the index finger on his shooting hand in the team’s loss to the Warriors on Sunday, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The Sacramento star is expected to be listed as doubtful for Game 5 of the Kings-Warriors first-round series, which is tied 2-2. Game 5 is scheduled for Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET in Sacramento.

A trip to Sunday’s New York Knicks-Clevland Cavaliers NBA playoff game at Madison Square Garden may have left new St. John’s basketball coach Rick Pitino in need of a new phone number.
During a stoppage of play, Pitino was featured during an ABC compilation of celebrities in attendance along with stars like Ben Stiller, Tracy Morgan and Jon Stewart. When the camera panned to Pitino, the former Knicks coach was seen telling someone his phone number. Fans on social media quickly read Pitino’s lips and apparently flooded Pitino’s phone with messages.
