The Huskies have now had multiple unfortunate incidents while out West.
While UConn cruised to a win over Arkansas on the court in Las Vegas, the Huskies had to deal with some more issues off the court during the men’s NCAA tournament. Coach Dan Hurley told the press after the game that the team had items stolen from their bus during practice at the UNLV campus on Tuesday.
According to UConn athletic director David Benedict, several players had items stolen including center Donovan Clingan’s iPad. Benedict confirmed that a police report was filed afterwards.

Amid reports that the Bengals have interest in free agent running back Ezekiel Elliott, the Cincinnati coach remained coy on the prospect of adding him.
The Bengals are one of three teams reportedly in the mix to land former Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Elliott has narrowed his free agency destination to the Eagles, Jets and Bengals as he enters the next stage of his career following his release from the Cowboys earlier this month.
The point guard apparently called his shot at MSG.
Markquis Nowell’s performance in Kansas State’s men’s NCAA tournament win against Michigan State on Thursday was the talk of the sports world. In a return to the city where he played high school basketball, New York, Nowell put up 20 points and 19 assists, including an iconic alley-oop to Keyontae Johnson late in overtime.
Nowell was not afraid to talk trash on the court, and that included celebrities attending the game at Madison Square Garden.

The ending to the game between Gonzaga and UCLA was one for the ages.
In a wild, back and forth affair between No. 3 seed Gonzaga and No. 2 seed UCLA on Thursday night, it came down to clutch shooting and playmaking down the stretch as the Bulldogs edged the Bruins to advance to the Elite Eight of the men’s NCAA tournament.
UCLA led by 13 at halftime, but went over 11 minutes without making a field goal in the second half. That led to a wild swing on the scoreboard, as Gonzaga led by eight with over a minute to go.
But UCLA was not done yet.
The league is trying to make this play safer for players.
It is the time of the year when the NFL’s competition committee discusses possible rules changes, and one specific rule proposal would be a major change. According to ESPN’s Kevin Seifert, the committee proposed a rule that would place all kickoff fair-catches at the 25 yard-line, even if the player fair catches inside that yardage.
A different proposal would move the spot on a punt return touchback from the 20-yard line to the 25, a similar change that the NFL implemented years ago for kickoffs.

This story kept getting weirder, and weirder.
The Lamar Jackson saga has taken some incredible twists and turns, but nothing tops everything that went down on Thursday night. Earlier this week reports emerged that someone was contacting teams on Jackson’s behalf, and this person wasn’t an agent registered with the NFL Players Association (NFLPA). On Thursday we possibly learned their name, and this was just the tip of the iceberg.
Up to this point Jackson has been largely representing himself.
Former Colorado star Darian Hagan has zero issue with Deion Sanders telling players to hit the transfer portal.
Sanders went viral when he bluntly informed players on Colorado’s roster to leave because he was bringing his own guys, and they clearly weren’t coming to ride the bench.
Due to the fact we live in very stupid times, not everyone loved Sanders’ message.
Deion made it clear to the Colorado players that he’s bringing his own luggage with him “and it’s Louis” so they better take a look at the transfer portal pic.twitter.

NEW YORK CITY — For nine minutes and 52 seconds, Madison Square Garden was filled with one chant:
“FAU! FAU!”
Senior guard Michael Forrest hit two consecutive three pointers to give the Owls their first lead since 3-2 in the first half, and from that point on, something clicked.
The energy shifted in Madison Square Garden, the section of FAU fans started to sound less like a quiet band, and more like an avalanche, rolling thunderous chants of “FAU”.
