What a week of tension in the NASCAR world. From Denny Hamlin basically incriminating himself in the name of ratings, to Kyle Busch trashing everyone in the garage, to NASCAR dropping the hammer on its winningest team, it was a doozy.

Here is a hot take for you: The NBA season gets better the later it goes. The standings get tighter just as the postseason picture becomes more apparent. Races for the regular season awards become all the more competitive, just as it gets more difficult to decide each frontrunner. Overall, the games get more meaningful — for every team, depending on how you look at them. For some, winning becomes imperative for seeding purposes.

No matter how big you are in Hollywood, Michael Jordan will put the fear of God into you. At least, that’s how Ben Affleck described meeting the legendary sports figure ahead of filming the movie Air: Courting a Legend. 
The film is set in 1984, before Nike was the iconic brand it is today, and centers around the company’s pitch to land Jordan on an endorsement deal.

MLB fans loved seeing this.
While the World Baseball Classic has been all the rage the past few weeks, there still have been MLB spring training games going on, and we’ve been able to see some pretty cool things so far, including one of the most embarrassing swinging strikes of the year. 
It happened Sunday in a Cardinals–Mets game in Port St. Lucie, Fla., when Tylor Megill threw some high heat inside on Óscar Mercado. The Cardinals center fielder committed to swinging and just couldn’t stop himself.
How’d that go for him? Not well at all.
