Former Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is down to three options in free agency according to a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter: the Bengals, Eagles and Jets.
The two-time All-Pro has spent his entire seven-year NFL career with Dallas, which took him with the No. 4 pick in the 2016 NFL draft. He led the NFL in rushing yards in ’16 and ’18 and made three Pro Bowls during that stretch.

The Alabama coaches are clearing the air after widespread speculation that Saban’s public comments were directed at Oats.
Nick Saban and Nate Oats are not at odds, both Alabama coaches said Thursday.
“He and I have got a great relationship, and I’m really thankful for the support that he has given us and continues to give us with the basketball program at Alabama,” Oats said here, where his No. 1-ranked Crimson Tide are preparing to play San Diego State in the NCAA tournament Sweet 16 Friday.

If the Longhorns want to keep their interim basketball coach, it sounds like they’ll have some competition.
If Texas wants to keep interim men’s basketball coach Rodney Terry in the fold, it sounds like it’ll have some competition to retain him.
According to a report from Kirk Bohls of the Austin American-Statesman, Terry is being pursued by both Cal and Penn State for its head coaching vacancies. Bohls reports that Terry was also being considered at Texas Tech, but the Red Raiders have now focused their search on North Texas coach Grant McCasland.

The NFL offseason is in full swing, which means it’s a perfect time for analysts to kill some time by putting out rankings that can get people all fired up about a sport that doesn’t have any meaningful games for quite some time. 
That’s what happened Thursday on ESPN when Robert Griffin III presented his top five quarterbacks in the NFC.
