NFL wide receiver prospect Louisiana-Lafayette wideout Michael Jefferson was released from the hospital on Wednesday after undergoing several surgeries due to a car crash on Apr. 9.
One person died at the scene of the crash, and new reports have announced that the deceased man was impaired before colliding with Jefferson’s 2019 Chevy Impala.
Jefferson was driving on U.S. Route 43 in Mobile County, Ala. when a 55-year-old man ran his Dodge Charger into Jefferson. A third vehicle was also involved, which crashed into the two vehicles.

After five straight losing seasons, the Wizards are making a change at the top.
Washington has fired general manager Tommy Sheppard, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Sheppard, 53, had served in his current role since the 2020 season, when he was promoted to replace longtime president of basketball operations Ernie Grunfeld.
Since qualifying for the Eastern Conference semifinals three times in four years from 2014 to ’17, the Wizards have struggled mightily.

Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has been ruled out for Game 2 of Milwaukee’s first-round playoff series against the Heat on Wednesday night.
The former NBA MVP suffered a lower back contusion during Game 1 on Sunday. The decision to hold Antetokounmpo out of Game 2 was announced a little over two hours before tipoff in Milwaukee.
At this time, it’s unknown how long the Bucks expect Antetokounmpo to be out of the lineup. 
The star forward did not warm up with the team before the game, and coach Mike Budenholzer did not offer any updates on Antetokounmpo’s progress.
