Joey Gallo is off to his best start at the plate since his 2019 season with the Rangers.
After signing with the Twins in free agency, the 29-year-old was hoping to prove that he was more than a boom-or-bust bat in the middle of the order.
Gallo blasted his sixth home run of the year on Monday night against the Yankees, who he spent 140 games with between the 2021 and ’22 seasons. He mostly flopped in New York, as he hit just .159 with 25 home runs and 194 strikeouts.

The Jets got their QB, but the Packers got better value in the trade.
At long last, the national standoff is over.
Former Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has finally been traded to the New York Jets. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Packers swapped picks with the Jets in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft in addition to a second round pick in 2023, and a conditional second round pick in 2024 that turns into a first if Rodgers plays 65 percent of snaps for the Jets. The Jets get Rodgers, the 15th pick and the 170th pick (5th round) in 2023.

What does it take to ‘win-now’ in the NFL?
The Jets actually did it. After months of consternation and encroaching feeling that a trade might not happen, New York finally landed Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers. It wasn’t the steal they probably hoped, giving up what will be tantamount to a first and second round pick for Rodgers, but if it means the Jets are able to hoist the Lombardi Trophy in the next two years then nobody will care that they overpaid for a 39-year-old quarterback.

LeBron James played a crucial role in helping the Lakers beat the Grizzlies 117–111 on Monday night to go up 3–1 in the first-round playoff series, and fans were quick to troll Memphis forward Dillon Brooks based on some comments he made about the L.A. star back in January.
A few months ago, Brooks told reporters that the four-time NBA champion “doesn’t want to go left.” Apparently, James took that personally.
When Game 4 was in overtime, James drove the ball to his left and scored a layup over Brooks with 29.1 seconds remaining.

Monday’s blockbuster trade that is sending Aaron Rodgers to the Jets has understandably galvanized a long-suffering fanbase and that was on full display Tuesday morning. No, it wasn’t in the streets of New York, but on ESPN’s Get Up when former NFL coach and current analyst Rex Ryan showed up to work in a Jets letterman jacket while sporting some impressive team jewelry.
“This happens to be Super Bowl III—my dad’s Super Bowl ring right here,” he said.

With Jimmy Garoppolo off to the Raiders and rookie seventh-round selection Brock Purdy impressing under center last season for the 49ers, much has been made about the future of Trey Lance, the starter who broke his ankle in Week 2 and missed the rest of the season.
Decision-making has been further complicated by the health of Purdy, who tore the UCL in his elbow in the NFC title game and underwent offseason surgery to address the injury.

Keeping up with all the latest 2023 NFL Draft rumors
Our first rumor came true!
Well, sort of.
The long-anticipated Aaron Rodgers trade was announced on Monday, with the New York Jets and the Green Bay Packers finally coming to an agreement on a package of picks for the four-time league MVP.
As we discussed earlier this week, the second night of the 2023 NFL Draft was viewed as perhaps a “soft deadline,” and now, we have a deal.

Will Levis’ odds to be the first pick of the NFL Draft are skyrocketing, and it appears to be tied back to a random Reddit post.
Levis has long been viewed as a lock to go in the first round, but conventional thinking for weeks has Bryce Young as the first player off the board to the Panthers.
Odds were even taken down on DraftKings because it was viewed as such a longshot. That all changed as of Tuesday morning.
