Pitchers in Major League Baseball are throwing a lot of heat these days and part of the reason why is that they are all getting stronger from the ground up. 
Braves right-hander Spencer Strider is one of those pitchers and a quick look at him tells you he must get a lot of his power from his muscular legs. Those legs were on full display during Atlanta’s win over the Mets on Monday in which Strider went five innings and got his fourth victory of the season.

1. I’m not a big fan of dumping all over someone because they made a bad sports prediction. Predictions are a huge part of sports, whether you’re a fan or an analyst, and you’re gonna hit some and miss others. It’s just the nature of the beast.

It was a tough weekend for the Boston Bruins. So tough that even the Skittles Twitter account is kicking them while they’re down.
If you were unaware, the Boston Bruins had the greatest regular season in NHL history. They posted an absurd 65-12-5 record, good for 135 points.
However, after jumping to a 3-1 series lead over the Florida Panthers, the Big Bad Bruins dropped three straight and were sent to the golf course way sooner than expected.

Bayern Munich is top of the Bundesliga. The way is clear again for it to win an 11th Bundesliga title in a row, which is where the problem lies. The Bundesliga title is taken for granted—as it should be when Bayern’s annual revenues are 83% greater than that of its nearest rival, Borussia Dortmund. Not to win it would be an embarrassment. That makes assessing how the team is doing extremely difficult—and that, really, is what underlies the present mess.
