We’ve seen a lot of strange ejections so far in the 2023 Major League Baseball season and the one that happened Tuesday night in Toronto might have jumped to the top of that list.
Blue Jays pitching coach Pete Walker went out to visit the mound, where he talked with his pitcher, Alek Manoah, like he would on any mound visit.
Home plate umpire Malachi Moore, who had made some bad calls before this moment, immediately made his way to the mound and was seen listening in on the conversation. A few seconds later he ejected Walker, who was never even looking in Moore’s direction.

Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend, Erica Herman, has dropped the lawsuit she filed in the fall of 2022 in which she was seeking $30 million in damages from the golfer’s estate. Her separate lawsuit against Woods centered around an NDA she signed with Woods is still pending.
Herman originally claimed that she and Woods had an “oral agreement” in place stating that she could live in his Florida mansion for 11 years. She claimed via landlord filing that she still had five years remaining on her tenancy but was told to leave the mansion in a surprise fashion.
The AFC South was a two-team race last season with the Jaguars and Titans clashing in Week 18 with the division on the line.
But the Texans and Colts might enter the picture for the division crown this season with rookies C.J. Stroud and Anthony Richardson, two quarterbacks drafted inside the top four in April.
For the last two Women’s World Cups, there has been just one team on top: the United State’s women’s nation team.
While the Americans are still the heavy favorites heading into this summer’s tournament, many challengers have spent the last four years (and then some) figuring out how to dethrone the reigning queens.
The PAC-12 reportedly will land a new media deal at some point in the “near future.”
The West Coast conference has been attempting to land a new media deal for nearly a year, and it seems like fans have been on a constant loop of “there will be a new media deal within a few weeks.”
It’s very similar to “two weeks to flatten the curve.” So much talk. Such little results. However, it appears a resolution might actually be happening with August right around the corner.
For the second straight major, Rory McIlroy is keeping quiet before the tournament.
San Diego State will remain in the Mountain West after teasing an exit for the PAC-12.
The Aztecs sent a letter to the conference that was interpreted as an exit letter by the MWC. SDSU was anticipating a PAC-12 invite that never came. When the PAC-12 invite didn’t show up, San Diego State claimed it never intended to leave and that kicked off an altercation between the Aztecs and the conference.
Things hit a breaking point when the MWC withheld a payment of $6.6 million claiming the conference was owed an exit fee.
San Diego State won’t leave the MWC.
Georgia coach Kirby Smart wants critics of his team’s schedule to play it.
The Bulldogs are coming off back-to-back national titles, and will open the 2023 season right near the top of the rankings. It’s very likely Georgia could even open as the preseason number one team.
There’s also a great chance Kirby Smart’s team will, once again, cruise through the regular season due to the weak nature of the schedule.
His squad plays UT Martin, Ball State, South Carolina, UAB, Auburn, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Florida, Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Georgia Tech.
