Pour one out for New York Yankees pitchers Domingo German and Luis Severino after their homes in Tampa Bay were targeted by burglars, which resulted in a massive loss.
According to a new Tampa Bay Times report, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has an ongoing investigation focused on several break-ins that occurred last year during the MLB regular season at the homes of the Yankees pitchers.
German and Severino’s tallied losses from the break-ins were reportedly over $300,000, according to the sheriff’s report.

MLB is stepping in to protect the finances of the Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Guardians.
The two AL Central organizations share a television deal with Bally Sports and the Diamond Sports Group.
The same company that declared bankruptcy just before the 2023 season started.

The LSU women’s basketball team will plan to visit the White House after winning the 2023 national championship, school spokesperson Michael Bonnette confirmed to the Associated Press on Thursday.
The announcement comes after a tumultuous week between the Tigers and the White House, which began after LSU beat Iowa 102–85 on Sunday. Following the game, First Lady Jill Biden seemed to extend an invite to both teams, even though it is tradition for only the championship-winning team to visit. 
The White House later clarified that only the Tigers were invited.

Utah Jazz standout Lauri Markkanen has some unfinished business to tend to this offseason.
Markkanen, a newfound star in Utah after being traded by the Cleveland Cavs in the blockbuster Donovan Mitchell trade, told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne that he would be traveling back to his home country of Finland this offseason to fulfill military service.
“It’s mandatory, we have to do it. At the same time, we take pride in it, too,” Markkanen, 25, told ESPN. “I think it sets an example to serve.
