The San Diego Padres (19-9) returned to Petco Park after three consecutive road series, going 5-3. They took care of business against the Chicago Cubs (17-12), earning a 9-7 victory in a game that featured 11 runs over the first five innings.
One player who benefited from the road trip was SDSU alum Ty France, who has gone 4-for-7 with two home runs and six RBIs over his last two games.

To no one’s surprise, the Oklahoma City Thunder are marching straight to second round of the NBA Playoffs. They capped off their series sweep of the Phoenix Suns with an insane 131-122 win. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander obviously led the way against the Devin Booker-led squad but that was not the best thing they achieved. The squad notched a win streak that could mean the start of a dynasty.

Vegas’ Brett Howden scored on a tip-in with 9:35 remaining in the third period as the Golden Knights and the Utah Mammoth played to a 4-4 tie through regulation Monday night in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series.
Utah leads in the series 2-1.
The Golden Knights raced out to a 3-0 lead with two goals in the first and one early in the second by Pavel Dorofeyev, Brett Howden, and Cole Smith.
Utah countered with four straight scores, capped by Clayton Keller’s wrist shot off a deflection for a 4-3 lead at the 5:10 mark of the third period.

After playing mostly fantastic basketball in the first three games of the Los Angeles Lakers‘ first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets, LeBron James struggled in Game 4 on Sunday. He went just 2-of-9 from the field and committed eight turnovers as the Lakers lost 115-96 and failed to sweep Houston.
Some may feel that fatigue was a factor for him. He played 45 minutes and posted 29 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, three steals and one block in L.A.’s thrilling Game 3 overtime win, but he also had eight turnovers.
