There is something in golf known as “The Jordan Spieth Experience.” It’s hard to really describe. But, you know it when you see it. And boy did fans get to see it on the par-3 seventh hole at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play event.
On Wednesday, Spieth defeated Mackenzie Hughes pretty handily, 4&3. But Thursday’s match against Taylor Montgomery didn’t go nearly as smoothly. Like Spieth, Montgomery won his opening match on Wednesday against Shane Lowry.
Thursday’s match started poorly for Spieth as Montgomery captured the first hole with a birdie.

The representative is not allowed to negotiate offer sheets or player contracts with any NFL player.
The NFL’s management council released a memo on Thursday informing teams across the league that a person named Ken Francis was attempting to persuade clubs to discuss potential negotiations for Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.
However, Francis is not an NFLPA certified agent and is not allowed to negotiate “offer sheets or player contracts” nor is he allowed to discuss “potential trades of any NFL player or prospective player,” per the league’s memo.

If you haven’t been watching the Women’s March Madness alongside The Big Dance, you’ve been missing out! This year’s tournament has been exhilarating, and viewership only continues to grow.
The 2022 women’s tournament averaged 634,000 viewers per game, which was a 16% increase over 2021. This year’s ratings are likely going to shatter that number. The passion and fanfare, coupled with massive upsets, made for a very exciting first weekend.

Petr Cech made a name for himself on the soccer pitch. Now, he’s on the verge of winning another championship, only this time it’ll be on the ice.
Cech spent 15 seasons in the English Premier League playing for both Chelsea and Arsenal, but when the now 40-year-old retired from pro soccer, he wasn’t done making saves.
Cech played hockey as a kid and he decided to pursue that after his soccer career was over. He signed with the Guildford Phoenix of the National Ice Hockey League 2 South. Guildford is an affiliate of the Guildford Flames who play in the Elite Ice Hockey League.

The program announced that Dale Lindsey had retired earlier this week, but he had a different take on his departure.
On Tuesday, San Diego announced the retirement of longtime football coach Dale Lindsey, who had led the Toreros to seven conference titles in 10 years. In a statement, USD athletics director Bill McGillis wrote that Lindsey “will retire from USD as one of the greatest head coaches in our university’s history and one of the elite head coaches in college football.”
Given his many accomplishments, that last part is undeniably true.
