Brock Purdy’s injury during the NFC Championship Game not only squashed the 49ers chances at winning the conference, it also clouded both Purdy’s and the team’s futures heading into the offseason. On Friday, the quarterback is clearing a major hurdle in his rehab as San Francisco heads into the offseason.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport Purdy will have surgery on his right elbow on Friday to repair his injured UCL.

The game was stopped with 4:39 to play just after Maravich sank a 23-footer for his 2,975th career point and 41st of the game.
