The MLB draft hasn’t historically been as significant an event as the NFL and NBA events. After all, baseball players need much longer to develop than football and basketball players, so the guys selected in the draft are usually years away from making a big league roster—if they do at all. But fans in Seattle made the first round of this year’s MLB draft as lively as any other draft.
They booed commissioner Rob Manfred into oblivion at the start of the draft. They voiced support for the A’s to stay in Oakland. They booed Manfred again.

Megan Rapinoe has announced her plans to retire from professional soccer at the end of the year but isn’t making a quiet exit. The 38-year-old is making sure she shares her radically progressive beliefs including her incredibly naive thoughts about transgender athletes in women’s sports.
Rapinoe has long been the face of the LGBTQ community in women’s sports in America. She has turned her liberal agenda into a lucrative career both on and off the pitch.

Northwestern football is the middle of a massive scandal after stunning allegations of hazing throughout the program.
The Northwestern football program has found itself in the middle of a major scandal involving hazing, sexual harassment and potential oversight by not only the Northwestern coaching staff, but the entire athletic department for over three years.
Here is a full timeline of all the events leading up to where we are today.
It’s not unusual for tennis balls to land in the grandstands at tournaments, so attendees usually know to stay alert during matches.
However, one shot during Monday’s Wimbledon match between Daniil Medvedev and Jiri Lehecka might be a one-in-a-million occurrence.
Lehecka returned a serve from the No. 3 player and popped the ball up into the stands. Wildly enough, the ball landed smack dab in a spectator’s Pimm’s cocktail, which is a gin-based drink specially prepared at Wimbledon. Needless to say, this doesn’t happen very often—if at all.
LeBron James coached his son at Peach Jam, and the highlights are hilarious.
LeBron James has been a corny basketball dad in the best possible way since his oldest son Bronny first started popping up on the AAU circuit five years ago. We’ve seen LeBron jump in the layup line with the kids, get animated on the sideline, and bring his famous friends with him to watch the games.
Bronny has since turned into a legitimate NBA prospect, and will begin his freshman season at USC in the fall.
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James spent last week in North Augusta, S.C. coaching his son Bryce’s 16U basketball team at the prestigious Nike EYBL Peach Jam tournament.
James teamed up with another former NBA player in Rajon Rondo to coach the team, which went 3–1 but failed to advance out of pool play due to point differential.
But an early exit didn’t stop James from producing some hilarious moments on the sideline, captured in a viral TikTok video shared by Brent Wilson showcasing the many emotions of “Coach LeBron”. As you might expect, James was fired up on the sideline.
Free agent running back Dalvin Cook is said to hold offers from numerous teams, but the current standstill on the ex-Viking’s signing appears to come down to what those offers look like.
As NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe reported on Good Morning Football, the Dolphins are one team with interest in Cook which has made an offer to the running back. The issue? Per Wolfe, Cook believes he’s “one of the best backs in the league, and he wants to be paid as such.”
“The Dolphins do have interest. They’ve had conversations with Dalvin Cook.
Las Vegas Summer League is underway, and clubs are at a point where they’re determining who makes the most sense to bring to training camp once that begins in late September.
But with that in mind, a handful of talented, relatively young free agents remain on the market. Here are five of the best ones, who are all 27 years old or younger.

Surprisingly, the 22-year-old combo forward was waived by Portland the day free agency began despite putting up solid numbers—7.4 points per game, 3.8 boards and 2.
