The club announced the signing of 19-year-old Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham on a six-year deal, ending a transfer saga that saw interest from other clubs around Europe, namely Liverpool and Manchester City. The €103 million ($111 million) transfer fee is the second-highest the club has ever paid for a player, behind only the purchase of Eden Hazard in 2019.

The US Open begins Thursday with all the best golfers in the world converging on Los Angeles Country Club. In addition to the players, caddies need to be on their games in order to help their golfers be successful. Geno Bonnalie, Joel Dahmen’s caddie who gained fame on Netflix’s Full Swing documentary, spoke to OutKick about preparing for the tournament.
Bonnalie explained that for a regular week on Tour, he generally travels to the site Monday and examines the course Tuesday. But for this week, he left a day early.

A’s fans held a raucous “reverse boycott” at Tuesday night’s home game against the Rays in hopes that they could somehow fend off what looks like the inevitable—the team moving to Las Vegas. 
The Oakland Coliseum has been pretty empty for most games this year but for one night over 27,000 people showed up and loudly voiced their displeasure with what the ownership is doing to a franchise that has been beloved in Oakland for years. 
During the fifth inning fans pulled off a pre-planned chant of “sell the team!” that was so loud their pitcher thought his earpiece broke.

ORLANDO, Fla. – NCAA president Charlie Baker agrees with the IRS’s assessment that donations to non-profit NIL collectives are not tax deductible, while he also emphasizing that stricter NIL rules could be on the way.
On Friday, the IRS Office of the Chief Counsel published a memo suggesting that donations made to non-profit NIL collectives “are not tax exempt” because the benefits they provide college athletes are “not incidental both qualitatively and quantitatively to any exempt purpose.

NFL running backs are in a contract crisis, but there can still be a happy medium.
The running back position in the NFL has fallen on hard times. Both of the position’s highest paid players in terms of cap number were released this offseason in Ezekiel Elliott and Dalvin Cook. The two premier backs that were set to hit free agency this year, Josh Jacobs of the Las Vegas Raiders and the New York Giants’ Saquon Barkley, were given the franchise tag, which neither player has signed yet.

Scheffler has experienced some putting woes in recent weeks but hopes to put those behind him at the U.S. Open.
Scottie Scheffler has the yips.
From tee to green, he looks like Tiger Woods in the early 2000s. The stats this season literally back that up. But once he gets to the putting surface, he becomes a double-digit handicapper.
