After the quarterbacks, Georgia’s Jalen Carter is the most intriguing prospect in the NFL Draft. His talent and athleticism rank him as arguably the best player available. But his off-the-field issues have hurt his stock significantly. Apparently, the Philadelphia Eagles care far more about the former than the latter.
Carter said Wednesday that his understanding is that the Eagles are going to take him if he’s available. That makes sense that he believes that, since his agent told the world that Carter is not visiting with any teams outside the Top 10.

Ime Udoka won’t be making friends in Toronto anytime soon.
ESPN has parted ways with MLB reporter Marly Rivera after she dropped a C-bomb on a colleague last week.
According to The New York Post, Rivera was trying to get an interview with New York Yankees star Aaron Judge before a game last week.
Rivera was reportedly waiting to speak to Judge before the Yankees-Angels game. While she was waiting for him, another reporter, Ivón Gaete, showed up wanting to interview him as well. Gaete is a freelance reporter who was covering Shohei Ohtani for Tokyo Broadcasting. She also happens to be the wife of MLB vice president of communications, John Blundell.
Against the surging Knicks, Donovan Mitchell and the Cavaliers must course correct quickly.
Denver police reportedly have cited Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards for two cases of third-degree assault, according to a Wednesday report from Jake Shapiro of Denver Sports.
The citations stem from an incident which took place in the immediate aftermath of Minnesota’s elimination loss against the Nuggets in Game 5 on Tuesday.
After Edwards missed a potential game-tying three-point attempt which saw the Timberwolves eliminated from the playoffs in the first round, he could be seen sprinting to the locker room.
Since new coach Deion Sanders arrived in Boulder, the Colorado football program has undergone a massive roster overhaul, with dozens of players entering the transfer portal this week alone. According to a pair of former players, one of the issues they’ve faced since deciding to leave the program is that the new Buffaloes coaching staff has barred them from accessing practice film from the 2022 season.
Now, Colorado is reversing course on that stance.
Ime Udoka was introduced as the coach of the Rockets on Wednesday.
If you’re in Boston, that still probably feels weird.
It has been nearly a year since Udoka led the Celtics to the NBA Finals and seven months since Boston suspended—and subsequently dismissed him—as its coach. Joe Mazzulla has thrived as Udoka’s replacement, finishing third in the Coach of the Year voting. The team is one win away from advancing in the playoffs and oddsmakers have installed the Celtics as the favorite to win the whole thing.
Aaron Rodgers was introduced by the Jets on Wednesday to much fanfare in the team’s auditorium, flanked on the stage by coach Robert Saleh to his left and general manager Joe Douglas on his right.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith went viral Wednesday after he said Clippers star Kawhi Leonard should be forced into retirement after missing the final three games of his team’s first-round series against the Suns.
But retired NBA veteran JJ Redick, who now works as an analyst for the network, clearly did not appreciate Smith’s comments regarding Leonard on Wednesday’s episode of First Take.
