With Patrick Mahomes sidelined, Chad Henne came in for the Chiefs and found the end zone.
Chad Henne threw the third touchdown pass of Divisional Round weekend. Just as we all expected.
With Patrick Mahomes sidelined due to a right ankle injury, the veteran backup quarterback stepped into the lineup for the Kansas City Chiefs. Henne faced a daunting task, as the Chiefs took over possession on their own two-yard line after a brilliant punt from Jacksonville Jaguars punter Logan Cooke.
However, the veteran passer was up to the challenge.
Patrick Mahomes refused to come out of Saturday’s AFC Divisional game against the Jaguars. He was struggling to walk without a limp, but the Chiefs quarterback was not going to let it keep him from playing on.
The question is whether the tackle was dirty or not.
Late in the first quarter, Mahomes had the pocket collapse around him while throwing a short pass over the middle. As he was brought down, Jacksonville linebacker Arden Key pulled him to the turf by his shoulder and landed directly on top of his ankle.
Meanwhile, defensive tackle Corey Peters pulled at Mahomes’ midsection.
The Chiefs quarterback did not appear to want to leave the game.

He limped to the sidelines right away, but was still able to play out the rest of the drive until the second quarter began.
However, after the Jaguars’ drive, Mahomes was sent to the locker room for further medical evaluation. The quarterback didn’t appear happy about this choice as he slammed down his coat as he walked to the locker room.
