Two of the greatest people I have met as a sportswriter are former LSU baseball coach/athletic director Skip Bertman and Alabama football coach Nick Saban.
Each is consistently the smartest person in the room. When both often sat in the same room when Saban was LSU’s football coach from 2000-04 and Bertman was AD starting in 2001, let’s just say it was a tie. Bertman won the last one, though, when he said Saban would not succeed in the NFL and his future was on the college level.

More smoke is swirling the Big Ten might extend invites to Oregon and Washington.
A recent report claimed the Huskies and Ducks believe spots are waiting for them in the B1G, which might give the programs zero incentive to sign any new PAC-12 deal.
Now, it sounds like that is the case, according to Colin Cowherd. However, neither team would get a full Big Ten revenue share.

The Sixers stars were fired up after ending Milwaukee’s run.
The 76ers were finally able to put an end to the Bucks‘ recent dominance, snapping Milwaukee’s league-long 16-game win streak on Saturday night in a wild thriller, 133–130.
After the crucial road victory, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey were fired up en route to the locker room, with both players exclaiming over the “big win.”
“Big freaking win,” said Embiid, with a smile on his face.

The pair tied the knot in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Aces sharpshooter Kelsey Plum and Raiders tight end Darren Waller tied the knot on Saturday, the WNBA star announced via social media. The reigning WNBA three-point contest champion posted to Instagram to share photos of the wedding, during which her and Waller could be seen tying the knot in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas’s new power couple was all smiles, with Waller donning a cream-colored suit and black pants while they walked down the aisle on their big day. 
Plum posted some photos to Instagram, captioning the post “Him. 3.4.
