There are a few things working against the QB.
The Raiders are probably going to wind up cutting Derek Carr. If Carr is on the Raiders’ roster Wednesday, his $32.9 million base for next year, and $7.5 million of his money for 2024 becomes guaranteed. So he’ll be off the Las Vegas roster (effectively, at least) by 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, the deadline for transactions to be processed that day.
Sometimes, deadlines spur deals. Don’t count on that in this case.
The Raiders have had five weeks to find a trade partner.

The Super Bowl was an amazing battle between two of the league’s best.
Despite the ending of the Super Bowl last night, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles played a phenomenal game, led by their signal callers. If you want any example of that, look at this and be amazed.
Both offenses were playing at the absolute highest level, and their QBs were a large reason why.
Let’s start with the guy who was on the losing team, Eagles QB Jalen Hurts.

For the second consecutive year, a former Giants wide receiver scored a key touchdown for the winning team in the Super Bowl. This time it was Kadarius Toney, the Giants’ 2020 first-round pick who was traded to the Chiefs at midseason.
Toney scored the first touchdown of the fourth quarter to give Kansas City its first lead of the game at 28-27. Then, on the next possession, he had a huge punt return that set up the Chiefs to add to their lead.

Jalen Hurts had 374 total yards and four total touchdowns in the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl LVII loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Joel Embiid, runner-up two years running, has the next-best odds to take home the hardware, but he’s a distant second at +400 odds.

Makhachev defeated Volkanovski by unanimous decision at UFC 284, winning three of the five rounds. But he was tested in an altogether manner by Volkanovski.
