Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant received a 25-game suspension Friday for flashing a firearm on Instagram Live — twice. And those in the sports world have not been shy about sharing their opinions on the matter.
Including Patriots cornerback Jack Jones. On May 15 — two days after Morant’s second gun-waving offense — Jones tweeted some words of wisdom to the NBA star.

West Virginia has issued a statement in the wake of coach Bob Huggins’s arrest for allegedly driving under the influence Friday evening in Pittsburgh’s Allegheny West neighborhood.
“West Virginia University is aware of an incident last night involving head men’s basketball coach Bob Huggins, for which he was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) in the City of Pittsburgh,” the statement reads. “We are gathering more information and will take appropriate action once the review is complete.”

Ray Lewis III, son of Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis, died from an accidental overdose.
Police responded to a call for a medical emergency Wednesday and found an unresponsive Lewis. A friend was administering CPR while another friend screamed for Narcan, according to the police report.
Lewis was reportedly lying naked in a room in the Florida home, between a bed and a wall. He was not breathing. Police administered Narcan, but Lewis did not respond.

NBA veteran Tony Snell announced he’s been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
Appearing on NBC’s Today Show Friday, Snell discussed both his diagnosis and his plans for the future. During the interview, Snell told Craig Melvin he always felt he was different.
“I was always independent growing up, always been alone,” Snell began. “I just couldn’t connect with people on the personal side of things.”

Would you look at that. LeBron James is being a sore loser again.
Apparently still salty after his Los Angeles Lakers got swept by the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals, LeBron is throwing shade at Nuggets coach Michael Malone.
It all started just before Denver’s championship parade Thursday, when Malone trolled LeBron on The Pat McAfee Show.
“Speaking of the Lakers, I just want you guys to know… this is breaking news: I’m thinking about retiring,” Malone joked — of course referring to LeBron James retirement rumors.

West Virginia men’s basketball coach Bob Huggins appears to have been arrested for driving under the influence in Pittsburgh Friday night, according to a report posted to the public safety blotter on the city’s police department website.
A Robert Huggins of Morgantown, W.Va., age 69, was arrested and charged with DUI after failing field sobriety tests. While West Virginia athletic officials have not responded to requests for comment, a source tells Sports Illustrated that school officials are aware of the situation and are gathering more information.
