Colorado football coach Deion Sanders will not attend Pac-12 media day Friday in Las Vegas.
Sanders is scheduled to undergo surgery Thursday and won’t be able to participate in the annual event the following day. The operation is to remove blood clots in his right leg and to re-adjust the posture of toes on his left foot, according to a video posted by Thee Pregame Show. Sanders’s middle toes on his left foot are dislocated.
In the video, Colorado athletic trainer Lauren Askevold stated that doctors will fix Sanders’s toes, so they don’t “cause any more pain in his shoes.

The head coach of the University of Vermont Catamounts men’s hockey team has been fired after an investigation revealed inappropriate texts with a student.
On Tuesday UVM announced that Todd Woodcroft has been relieved of his duties as the school’s head coach.
WPTZ Burlington reports that the school’s athletic director Jeff Shulman revealed during a press conference that the school first received a complaint about Woodcroft in March,
Once the complaint had been made UVM Office of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity began an independent investigation.

Davonte Pack, a close friend of Grizzlies guard Ja Morant, has been arrested in connection with a July 26, 2022, incident at Morant’s house that has been the subject of civil litigation involving the two-time All-Star.
Pack, 24, was booked into Shelby County Jail on Wednesday on charges of misdemeanor assault.
Joshua Holloway, now 18, filed a lawsuit against Morant when he was 17, describing the NBA player and Pack of having struck him during a pickup game in Eads, an unincorporated Memphis suburb.
