The new Arizona coach shared a fun story to explain how his quarterback is rehabbing.
New Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon’s first big goal is to make sure quarterback Kyler Murray rehabs properly and is healthy by the time he returns. Only two weeks into the job, Gannon seems confident enough in his relationship with Murray to joke about it with the media.
When asked about how Murray’s rehab is going, Gannon used a funny point of reference to explain that the quarterback is doing well.
“He wanted to play me one-on-one today, so I guess he’s doing pretty good,” Gannon joked.

This humble pie is so sweet.
A video of a youth basketball team went viral in January when the third graders were seen flexing on their competition, mocking the kids they were playing against, and generally being little punks. It sparked a huge range of conversation. Some people felt it was fine, and just a reflection of how kids are now — while others thought it went way beyond the pale that parents and coaches would tolerate the team being this disrespectful.

After spending six seasons in the NFL as a regular backup quarterback for four different franchises, AJ McCarron stepped away from the field during the 2022 season. After recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in April 2021, the former Alabama star has gotten back to playing in 2023, but for the St. Lous Battlehwawks of the XFL.
McCarron could likely be on an NFL roster or at the very least a team’s practice squad, but neither of those opportunities would give him an opportunity to play meaningful snaps in front of his three young sons.

LaMelo Ball wastes little time distancing himself from the Charlotte Hornets post-game. Red lights be damned.
Ball’s Hornets are the NBA’s fourth-worst team. They have just 17 wins on the season. That’s nearly as many wins as red lights Ball’s shot through following Charlotte home games.
Twitter user @IcyVert compiled a video of Ball hastily leaving numerous Hornets games this season – we’ll assume they were loses – and instantly breaking traffic laws.
Ball appears about as eager to stop at red lights as the Hornets are to play defense.

NBA referees blowing their whistle for a travel or a double dribble is an incredibly rare occasion. If they did so more regularly it would slow the game to a crawl given the fact that players walk with the basketball on practically every other possession, but the no-call on Klay Thompson on Thursday night was egregious.
With the Golden State Warriors trailing the Lakers by nine points in the third quarter on Thursday night, Thompson caught an outlet pass at midcourt. After very clearly taking a dribble, he then went into a pump fake before taking the ball to the floor again.
