Travis Kelce was not happy about his teammate Jack Cochrane pushing him after he caught a touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes at Chiefs practice on Saturday.
Cochrane’s shove led to the eight-time Pro Bowler throwing a punch at the linebacker, starting a brief scuffle before the two were separated and the team continued with practice.
Following practice, Kelce held himself accountable, tweeting that he needed to be “better” in those situations.
“Gotta be a better teammate gotta be a better leader… plain and simple,” Kelce tweeted.

After six productive years with the Vikings, running back Dalvin Cook finds himself a free agent. Minnesota cut him on June 9, and the four-time Pro Bowler has spent the past two months looking for a new home.
On Saturday morning, Cook appeared on NFL Live and pitched himself to a glamorous potential suitor—the Cowboys.
“Dallas been right there, [they] just need to turn that page the last few years,” Cook said. “[Tony Pollard] is a great running back, just partnering up with a great running back, a great running mate, it would be good. Hey, I don’t know.

If the Vikings and pass rusher Danielle Hunter cannot reach common ground on an extension, Minnesota is open to putting the veteran on the trade market, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports. While the Vikings want to sign Hunter long-term, Fowler reports they want him on a deal that matches his age and skill set.
Additionally, according to Fowler, Hunter prefers being traded or released over playing on his current contract.
Hunter is entering the final year of a five-year, $70 million extension, but is set to make a base salary of $4.9 million.

Hard work always pays off. Especially when you work a lot harder than you actually have to.
Chicago Bears offensive tackle Darnell Wright absolutely “crushed” his conditioning test, according to GM Ryan Poles.
That’s because all offseason, Wright was accidentally training for the wrong test.
“I was looking at the wide receivers’ running portion of the workout, so I was doing theirs. So then I came back and obviously, we have different (standards),” Wright said.

Earlier this week I wrote about the significance of soccer great Lionel Messi moving to Miami and taking not only his talents, but his celebrity status to Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami.
I mentioned how not only could Messi help grow soccer’s popularity, but that he could also go the way of Ronda Rousey, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson or John Cena in transitioning from their respective sport to Hollywood and pop culture.
I just didn’t know it would happen this fast.

It’s safe to say Lionel Messi won’t be going to Publix anymorepic.twitter.

It’s training camp season, which means NFL fans are always in for a good scuffle or two as guys get after it in pads for the first time in months.
Look no further than the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs, who had star tight end Travis Kelce start a scuffle at practice on Saturday after finding the end zone on a Patrick Mahomes touchdown pass.
Kelce did not take too kindly to the late hit from Jack Cochrane. Cochrane lightly shoved Kelce after the catch, and Kelce wound up and threw a punch at his teammate.

The Bengals are working out two former XFL quarterbacks—Reid Sinnett and Drew Plitt—with Joe Burrow scheduled to miss several weeks due to a calf strain injury he suffered in practice Thursday, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Sinnett, who had brief stints with the Buccaneers, Dolphins and Eagles, last played for the XFL’s San Antonio Brahmas. However, the team placed him on injured reserve after breaking his foot.
In one game last season, Sinnett threw for 97 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
