Former Iowa Hawkeyes offensive lineman Cody Ince died “unexpectedly” on Saturday. Ince played for the Hawkeyes from 2018 to 2021. He died at the age of 23.
Ince’s abrupt death shocked the football community.
As reported by Fox News Digital, Ince died at his home in Grantsburg, Wisconsin, this weekend. His cause of death remains unknown.
Ince started double-digit games for Iowa and earned All-Big Ten recognition in 2020.

In recent decades, a number of college football programs across the country have gone against the grain by opting for an unconventional field color on its playing surface versus the traditional green grass or artificial turf.
On Tuesday, SUNY Morrisville added its name to the list by unveiling its new, eye-popping black turf at Drake Field. SUNY Morrisville (an NCAA Division III member) is based about 30 miles southeast of Syracuse in upstate New York.
The installation of new turf at the stadium marks the first time it has been changed since 2006.

A trying season for Royals starting pitcher Jordan Lyles took a turn for the positive on Monday night, when he fired six shutout innings against the Tigers in what ended up being a 3-2 loss for Kansas City. Outings like that have been hard to come by for the veteran right-hander, who owns a 1-11 record and a 6.05 ERA on the season.

LSU forward Angel Reese’s victory tour continued Tuesday night—this time in her hometown of Baltimore.
The star who helped guide the Tigers to their first women’s basketball national championship back in March took to the baseball diamond at Oriole Park at Camden Yards to throw out the first pitch ahead of Baltimore’s game against the Dodgers.
The chance to throw out the first pitch comes less than a week after Reese was honored at the ESPY Awards, where she won the “Best Breakthrough Athlete” honor.
