Following the broadcast where the 68 teams selected were named, NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Committee chairman Chris Reynolds explained why Oklahoma State was the first team out.

The field for the men’s NCAA Tournament is set. Now? March Madness is on the horizon with the First Four kicking off on Tuesday, and finishing on Wednesday, ahead of the first round, which begins in earnest on Thursday, March 16.

These are our bracket picks for the 2023 men’s NCAA tournament.
There is no overwhelming favorite entering the 2023 men’s NCAA tournament. Instead, the field is wide open and full of possibilities for the 68 teams who heard their name called on Selection Sunday. While Houston, Kansas, and Alabama will likely be the most popular picks in your office pool, this does feel like the type of year that a sleeper could potentially go all the way.
There are a few things we know about trying to pick a winner based on history. A No.
Alabama won the Southeastern Conference regular season last week.
The Crimson Tide won the SEC Tournament on Sunday.
And Sunday night, Alabama (29-5) received its first No. 1 seed in the history of the NCAA Tournament and will play Thursday 57 miles away in Birmingham against a No. 16 seed. That will be the winner of a play-in game between Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Southeast Missouri State.
