The Kansas City quarterback suffered a high ankle sprain during Saturday’s win over the Jaguars.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid told reporters Wednesday that quarterback Patrick Mahomes participated in walkthroughs and will practice with the team later today, despite his ankle injury.
Reid said he expects Mahomes to do everything in practice but also added “we’ll see” when it comes to his capability. Mahomes suffered a high ankle sprain in the first quarter of the Chiefs’ 27–20 victory against the Jaguars in the AFC divisional round on Saturday.

Longtime Rockies first baseman Todd Helton didn’t try to hide his disappointment after narrowly missing out on being inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
“I’m disappointed, but it’s something I can’t control,” Helton told MLB.com after voting results were announced Tuesday. 
Helton received a vote on 72.2% of the 389 ballots from Baseball Writers’ Association of America voters but was shy of the 75% threshold necessary for induction.

Alabama football coach Nick Saban is looking for two coordinators at the same time for just the second time since coming to the Crimson Tide before the 2007 season.
He will be replacing offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien and defensive coordinator Pete Golding.
O’Brien decided to return to the NFL after two seasons at Alabama and will be New England’s offensive coordinator. O’Brien never planned to stay longer than a 24-month Tour of Duty under The Man.
Golding lasted five consecutive seasons under the Master Taskmaster. That’s rare air.

Less than a month after Ed Reed was announced as having a deal to be the next head coach at Bethune-Cookman University the two have parted ways. The school decided to move on after Reed said on a social media video that all HBCU’s need help and those running them have quote, “broken mentalities.” During an interview with Roland Martin Monday, Reed said he was offered jobs at Jackson State, directly from Deion Sanders, and one from Grambling that he turned down.
