Pat McAfee is leaving FanDuel for ESPN, and details are now out on the agreement he’s reached to become a full-time media personality for the worldwide leader.
McAfee’s contract is worth $85 million over five years, a perceived pay cut from the four-year deal at FanDuel that was worth $120 million, according to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post.
ESPN declined comment when reached by Marchand, and McAfee skirted the Marchand report during a conversation as well.
“Interesting number,” McAfee told The Post.

The National Football League has a strength of schedule formula that’s simple to understand. Just take the opponents’ records from the previous season, add up the wins and losses and calculate a percentage for all 17 opponents. Umpires in Major League Baseball should always try their best to do their jobs correctly and not become a part of the game’s story. That, however, is often very hard for a lot of the guys in blue because we’re seeing more and more of them either impacting games with terrible calls or acting in an unprofessional manner.
That happened again Tuesday night in Houston when home plate umpire Jerry Layne got in the face of Astros shortstop Jeremy Peña after he seemed to calmly voice his displeasure with a bad-called strike.
