When the Hawks forced a Game 6 against the Celtics in the first round of the NBA playoffs, one of the biggest pieces of news heading into the matchup was that a Janet Jackson concert had to be postponed at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena because it was scheduled for the same night.
As it turned out, Boston beat Atlanta on Thursday night, 128–120, to advance to the second round. In his on-court postgame interview, Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum took a moment to apologize to the pop legend for not finishing the series earlier to allow her concert to remain on schedule.

Kentucky quarterback Will Levis was a hot name in the run-up to this year’s NFL draft, with professional and amateur pundits alike suggesting he was poised to go in the top 10.
That did not come to pass, and Levis slid as quarterbacks Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud and Anthony Richardson linked up with the Panthers, Texans and Colts, respectively.
The development came as a bit of a shock considering how highly many observers regarded Levis—including ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr., who suggested Houston take him at No. 2—but was in line with his 2022 numbers.

Dalton Kincaid was drafted by the Bills with the 25th selection in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The 6’4” tight end out of Utah is an immediate “move the chains” target and red-zone threat for Buffalo’s offense.
Kincaid joins a talented squad that has the need for production from the tight end position after Dawson Knox had a sub-par year in 2022. Quarterback Josh Allen will love his new sure-handed, big bodied target who showed strong route running skills and fluid athleticism with the ball in his hands during his senior year competing in the Pac-12.

The Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson had an eventful day on Thursday, starting with the quarterback signing a five-year contract to remain in Baltimore after a months-long impasse between the two sides.
By the time the 2023 NFL draft began Thursday night, Jackson was excited for the Ravens’ first-round pick at No. 22: Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers. The ACC star is the first wideout from Boston College ever drafted in the first round.
