A German soccer game was suspended Sunday after a fan threw a beer in the face of a referee during halftime.
Zwickau was hosting Rot-Weiss Essen in a third-tier match in which it faced relegation, and the two teams were tied 1-1 after the first half of play. Before the first half expired, referee Nicholas Winter gave Zwickau defender Nils Butzen a red card while also awarding Essen a free kick off a hand ball. Essen forward Simon Engelmann took advantage of the kick, scoring the equalizing goal right before halftime.

Heat guard Victor Oladipo has suffered a season-ending torn patellar tendon in his left knee, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. 
Oladipo suffered the injury in Miami’s Game 3 victory over the Bucks on Saturday. With just four minutes left in the game, Oladipo was driving to the basket when he fell to the floor and immediately grabbed his left knee in pain. His teammates could be seen distraught and emotional, appearing to already know it was another serious injury for the two-time All-Star.

Yes, I am the same guy who recently wrote that I am tired of “prospect promotion” videos. But that’s for players who are blue-chippers and inevitable big leaguers. However, I’m all-in on videos of guys finally getting the call after years in the minors. That’s what happened Sunday for 33-year-old Pittsburgh Pirates “prospect” Drew Maggi.
The Arizona Diamondbacks originally drafted Maggi in 2008. But, he chose to go to college. The Pirates later selected him in 2010.
He spent five seasons in the Pittsburgh organization before bouncing around for several seasons.

The senior independent director of Britain’s biggest tobacco company is to take the same role at THG, the online retailer behind Cult Beauty, as it holds talks about a bid to take it private. Sky News understands that THG will announce on Monday that Sue Farr, a former advertising executive, is joining its board.
