The school’s withholding of information and its men’s hoops coach’s dismissive statements have only served to worsen a tragic incident.
The more we hear about the capital murder case involving former Alabama men’s basketball player Darius Miles, the worse it gets for the Crimson Tide. The more coach Nate Oats speaks, the more dishonest and dismissive he sounds. The more information is made public, the more it’s clear that the school didn’t give a full accounting of a tragic situation.

The five-time Pro Bowler shared the perfect response to the league’s random test.
Since JJ Watt walked off the field at Levi’s Stadium in the final game of his NFL career on Jan. 8, the former Cardinals defensive end has embraced retirement.
Watt is no longer focused on preparing for the next game or training camp during the months ahead of the next NFL season. Tory Pittman III has yet to graduate middle school, but he already has a scholarship from Nebraska. He is currently in the second semester of his eighth grade year at Buffett Middle School in Omaha and is expected to attend Central High School next year.
Pittman will eventually have to decide on his future after Central and where he might want to play his college football, God willing. But that is still four years away.
Nebraska is all-in already.
In the meantime, Pittman is already being recruited by his in-state program.
