Mets pitcher Max Scherzer is already a fan of the implementation of the pitch clock in MLB just a few days into spring training.
The right-handed ace made his spring training debut on Sunday against his previous team, the Nationals, pitching two innings. In those innings, Scherzer recorded five strikeouts, allowing three hits and one earned run.
After those two innings with the new pitch clock, Scherzer said he already “loves” the system because he feels like he has more control over the game.

Legendary University of Virginia men’s basketball coach Terry Holland passed away on Monday at the age of 80 after a battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Holland, who took Virginia to two Final Four appearances in his 16 years in Charlottesville from 1974-90, was diagnosed with the disease in 2019 and recently entered a memory care facility, according to USA TODAY.
Prior to his coaching career, Holland was a star player at Davidson under coach Lefty Driesell and led the nation in field goal percentage for the 1963-64 season.

YouTube star turned professional boxer Jake Paul suffered his first loss in the ring on Sunday, as he dropped a split decision to Tommy Fury in a fight that went all eight rounds. 
Paul then suffered another defeat just after that fight, and it came on Twitter, where Bomani Jones had the perfect reaction to the loss. 
In case you missed it, Paul and Jones had an awkward interaction on Jones’s HBO show, Game Theory, that went viral a few weeks before the fight.
