Then, it all changed on one call.
Kansas City was the beneficiary of a critical defensive holding penalty on its final possession of the game, turning what would have been an incomplete pass on third down into a first down on the 11-yard line.

The pass fell incomplete, and it looked as if the Eagles had held the Chiefs, and the field goal team would come onto the field.

And didn’t give it back until Harrison Butker kicked a 27-yard field goal with 8 seconds to play to give the Chiefs a 38-35 victory.
It came after a 12-play and 66 yard march by Kansas City that took 5:07 off the clock.
It was great execution for the Chiefs.
It must have felt like a slow execution for the Eagles.
The Chiefs win their second Super Bowl in four seasons.
Down 10 points at the half, Kansas City scored on each of its second-half possessions and won it on a Harrison Butker field goal with 8 seconds left.
