Dec. 4—COLFAX — A slow start and 23 turnovers plagued the Colfax-Mingo boys basketball team during its season opener on Monday.
The Tigerhawks allowed 46 first-half points and never recovered during a 77-27 home loss to Woodward Academy.
Colfax-Mingo shot nearly 24 percent from the floor, missed all four 3-point attempts and connected on 7-of-12 from the free-throw line.
Jace Lewis scored nine points and Wyatt Jay and Izaiah Lewis each added six points and six rebounds to lead the Tigerhawks.
