It’s hard to believe, but in a refreshing turn of events, an American athlete at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina is actually proud to be representing the United States.
If you’re rooting for Team USA, it’s been a frustrating few weeks. Instead of a time of collective unity built around supporting the team and the country, press conferences have been filled with absurd comments from skiers like Hunter Hess, turncoats like Eileen Gu, and self-obsessed skaters like Amber Glenn. And let’s not forget the self-serving platitudes from Mikaela Shiffrin.

In one of the best games of the college basketball season, it was Arkansas. The 20th-ranked Razorbacks got 49 points out of star freshman Darius Acuff Jr., but it wasn’t enough as No. 25 survived a double-overtime thriller for a 117-115 win.

DraftKings has released 2026 regular-season win totals, and Detroit’s number is set at 10.5 wins, with the over priced at –130 and the under at +110.
That’s a notable vote of confidence for a team coming off a 9–7 record in 2025, a season that ended without a playoff berth. Even after that step back in the standings, betting markets are clearly expecting a bounce-back year in Detroit.

SURPRISE, Ariz. — Bruce Meyer was promoted to interim executive director of the baseball players’ association on Wednesday, a day after Tony Clark’s forced resignation.
It was a move for continuity ahead of the likely start in April of what figures to be contentious collective bargaining with team owners.
Matt Nussbaum was promoted to interim deputy executive director from general counsel.
The decisions were made by the Major League Baseball Players Association executive board during an online meeting. Both votes were unanimous.
