As we do every draft season, all 32 NFL sites at SB Nation come together to fill out an entire first-round mock draft leading up to the actual event that takes place from April 23-25. One by one, our site managers will make their picks and provide their reasoning behind the selection.
Cam Schlittler vs. Boston is a beef that just won’t die. And the New York Yankees right-hander from Walpole, Massachusetts is ready to steer into it when he makes his first career start at Fenway Park.
Schlittler, the Yankees’ 25-year-old fireballer who emerged as a playoff hero last season and a rotation mainstay this year, told news media that he and his family have received death threats prior to his scheduled start on Thursday, April 23.

It will be a busy day in Boston as the city prepares for the 130th Boston Marathon and the Red Sox‘s annual Patriots’ Day game at Fenway Park.
The Red Sox are expected to turn to veteran right-hander Sonny Gray, who is hoping to bounce back after a rough start in Minnesota last week. The Tigers will send out Jack Flaherty and look to win their third straight road game.
Reinforcing the offensive line has been a priority for the New Orleans Saints, who opened free agency by signing former Buffalo Bills left guard David Edwards to a four-year, $61 million contract. Even though the franchise has allocated plenty of resources to its offensive line, the free agency addition won’t stop them from seeking more offensive line talent.
The franchise is focused on protecting second-year quarterback Tyler Shough. If a starting offensive lineman is injured, someone must step up. Currently, Asim Richards is the only reliable backup for left tackle Kelvin Banks Jr.
The 2026 NFL Draft will kick off this Thursday night, with every team around the league doing its best to facilitate the growth of its young core and continue to move into the future. The New Orleans Saints started off with a great 2025 draft class under Kellen Moore’s guidance, and now, they look to build around Tyler Shough, giving him as much talent as possible to move the needle towards being competitive again.
In a recent mock draft by Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN, he split his focus between adding to the defense and to the offense, as he went through a two-round experience instead.
