Just five days after a career performance, rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson helped power the New England Patriots to another victory Thursday night.
Playing a career-high 58 snaps as the Patriots remained without running back Rhamondre Stevenson, Henderson found the end zone twice on the ground in the first half. While the pair of scores did not come in the explosive fashion that they did last week in Tampa Bay, the back showcased his improving patience on inside runs — receiving some help from his teammates to power through for the second score.

Early in the contest, Allen (11-0) looked to be in full control as quarterback Jeremiah Daoud engineered two scoring drives, one with his arm and the other with his legs.

Guard Austin Reaves returned to game action on Monday after missing three games due to a groin strain, and big man Maxi Kleber recently returned from an abdominal strain.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Justin Fields used his legs to give the New York Jets an early lead.
Then he stopped running.
And the Jets stopped moving the ball.
Fields ran five times for 28 yards and a 5-yard score on New York’s opening drive, but he was little help throwing the ball Thursday night in a 27-14 loss to the New England Patriots.
Fields was the team’s leading rusher with 67 yards, but he completed just 15 of 26 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown.

You might remember some measure of controversy when the Los Angeles Lakers landed on JJ Redick as their new head coach.
You might remember the Lakers defending the hire of a coach whose previous coaching experience consisted of his son’s youth basketball team, buttressed by three years as an ESPN broadcaster and podcaster, following a 15-year playing career in the NBA.
