Carroll has coached the Jets, Patriots, Seahawks, and now the Raiders. Nineteen total seasons as a head coach. And he has lost four in a row in 1994 with the Jets (the losing streak reached five) and four in a row in 2023 with the Seahawks.

After beating the Patriots to open the season, the Raiders have lost to the Chargers, Commanders, and Bears.

Aprilia MotoGP star Marco Bezzecchi blitzed the all-time track record to take pole position for the Indonesian Grand Prix, while Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia struggled to ninth and 16th respectively.
Having already enjoyed a four-tenth margin over the rest of the field on Friday, Bezzecchi carried that momentum into qualifying, setting a blistering lap time of 1m28.832s to continue his strong run in the second half of  the season.

No. 18 Maryland men’s soccer has proven it can win games in a variety of ways this season. As part of their eight-game unbeaten streak, the Terps have come out victorious in low-scoring affairs and throttled some quality opposition.
While the Terps have found a formula to success this season, they didn’t have a path to victory Friday night on the road at UCLA. Despite generating 12 shots across the 90 minutes, Maryland only produced two shots on frame.

TORONTO — The Yankees settled on their Game 1 starter for the ALDS, picking Luis Gil over Will Warren.
“I feel like he’s ready for this and in line and trust him to handle the situation,” Aaron Boone said of Gil with the Yankees working out at Rogers Centre on Friday. The manager added that he wants to keep Warren as a bullpen option for now.
Gil only made 11 starts this season, as a spring training lat injury delayed his season debut until Aug. 3. He posted strong surface numbers, recording a 3.32 ERA over 57 innings.

The pork was pulled inside the Hearnes Center on Friday night, as Mizzou volleyball swept Arkansas 25-11, 25-20, 25-17.
The Tigers were superior hitters throughout the match, with 45 kills and only nine errors while hitting .371. By contrast, Arkansas finished with 34 kills and 19 attacking errors at .138 hitting percentage.
