Newcastle Red Bulls have signed Wales full-back Liam Williams on a one-year contract.
The 34-year-old had been without a club since leaving Saracens at the end of last season, and had a spell training with his former club Cardiff.
He has not played since suffering a knee injury in Wales’ defeat by France in their Six Nations opener in January.
“It’s a good opportunity to experience something new, and I can’t wait to get started,” he told the club website.

Richard Kaufman tallied up 122 for Foxton Granta in Sunday’s Voneus Village Cup final, defeating Cheshire side Stayley.
The 44-year-old, who said he “always wanted to be a professional cricketer”, made a ton in the same match last year.
Speaking after the trophy lift, Kaufman, who is head of cricket at the Leys School in Cambridge, said: “Batting at Lord’s is actually much easier because the wicket is so good.

Sherratt took over as Wales caretaker head coach for three games in the 2025 Six Nations following the departure of Warren Gatland.
