It’s 2025, and NFL referees are still missing obvious calls.
Yes, they are a part of every game. And I do want to be sensitive to the fact that referees are humans who make mistakes sometimes — just like the fans who watch the games.

Even so, there are some calls that just make you go, “How in the world can a pro at this job miss a call this obvious?” We saw one today in the Cincinnati Bengals’ game against the Cleveland Browns.
49ers tight end George Kittle will not return to Sunday’s game against the Seahawks after suffering a hamstring injury in the second quarter.
The man who was disrespected by the New York Jets and ignored by the Minnesota Vikings threw four touchdown passes Sunday. And that means Aaron Rodgers has thrown four touchdown passes in two consecutive games at MetLife Stadium because he did it in his final Jets game and first game with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
So why were so many NFL people doubting this guy in the offseason?
He certainly isn’t doubting himself. He certainly doesn’t feel like he has to prove himself.

The green dildos are back for NFL Week 1!
NFL fans were seated for the big opening week games Sunday, including the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals face-off and Dolphins versus Colts matchups, both of which were disrupted by a green dildo being thrown on the field.
The trend, started in the WNBA, is NOT slowing down …
During the Bengals-Brown game, an official picked up the sex toy and promptly threw it onto the sideline, keeping the game running without disruptions. The same went down between the Colts and Dolphins.

Rockledge High’s own Raheim Sanders can add another line to his already impressive resume — “scored first NFL touchdown on Sept. 7, 2025.”
Sanders scored his first professional touchdown for the Cleveland Browns at 12:42 in the second quarter of their season-opener against the Cincinnati Bengals.
It was a one-yard run that tied the game 7-7.
The Browns ultimately lost to the Bengals 17-16. Sanders finished with 3 carries for 3 yards and the touchdown.
Sanders was an undrafted free agent who signed with the Los Angeles Chargers on April 26, 2025, after the 2025 NFL Draft.
On Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelerswon a shootout with the New York Jets on the strength of their offense. The defense struggled all game long and it was only made worse by multiple injuries on the defensive side of the football. After the game, head coach Mike Tomlin offered an update on each of the three injured Steelers.
According to Tomlin, cornerback Joey Porter Jr. was dealing with some tightness in his hamstring so the team chose to shut him down. This moved Jalen Ramsey to the outside for the remainder of the game, where he made the pass breakup that sealed the win.
