The Tennessee Titans are heading to Arizona for their Week 5 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals in Glendale, and they made a flurry of roster moves in preparation for the game.
Tennessee started by adding some spark to their backfield, activating running back Tyjae Spears from injured reserve. That would be a huge boost for an offense that has lacked explosive plays through the first four weeks of the season.
With Tennessee not elevating any other running backs for the week, Spears should suit up and be the primary backup to Tony Pollard.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan football entered Week 6 as a heavy favorite over Wisconsin, but if you corner a wounded badger, it tends to get particularly ferocious. And in the early going, the Badgers gave the Wolverines everything they had.
The first half saw the maize and blue, particularly on offense, stuck in the mud, even as the defense became stodgy following Wisconsin’s first drive. But the second half saw Bryce Underwood and his receiving corps come alive, with Donaven McCulley and Andrew Marsh in starring roles for the first time this season.
CHATTANOOGA — Tony Vitello is aware that his name has been mentioned in connection with multiple vacant MLB manager jobs.
The Tennessee baseball coach said he has not had any direct contact with MLB teams and is focused on the Vols.
“This job is a grind and our No. 1 focus this time of year is getting our team better and recruiting — and we are on the edge with some pretty impressive recruits,” Vitello said after UT’s scrimmage at Chattanooga’s AT&T Field on Oct. 4.
For all of its success, Penn State has suffered its share of debilitating setbacks under coach James Franklin.
Perhaps none was more gutting than what they endured Saturday in the picturesque confines of the Rose Bowl. A spirited late comeback ultimately wasn’t enough to overcome a 27-7 halftime deficit, with the No. 6 Nittany Lionsgetting stunned 42-37 on Oct. 4 by a previously winless UCLA team.
Any rookie trying to make an NHL team would dream of a performance like Joakim Kemell’s on Oct. 4.
In the Nashville Predators’ 3-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes at Bridgestone Arena, Kemell scored in overtime just moments after laying a vicious hit at center ice, igniting the home crowd.
“I’ve seen a lot of things, but I don’t think I’ve seen a hit like that,” coach Andrew Brunette said after the game. “Then to back it up with a goal . . . that was pretty fun to be a part of, I’m happy for (Kemell).

It was all there for the taking for Arch Manning and the Texas Longhorns.
All they had to do was come into Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and beat the breaks off a listless Florida Gators team that had not won a game against a Power 4 opponent in 11 months.
A Top Ten team with maybe the best roster, top to bottom, in all of college football facing off against a program with its finger on the trigger ready to fire its coach into the sun.
What could possibly go wrong?
Oops! Swing and a miss!
You had one job, Arch.
