🎥 Son bags a hat-trick, bicycle kick… the wildest match of the night 🔥
The MLS knows how to entertain us.
On the night from Wednesday to Thursday, several MLS matches took place, notably the one between Real Salt Lake and Los Angeles FC. Much like what happened in the Champions League a bit earlier, this match offered us a true spectacle.

Keith Gillespie thought he was going out for dinner.
Only his nearest and dearest had other ideas, throwing the ex-Newcastle United winger a surprise 50th birthday party earlier this year.

The crowd at Fiserv Forum for the volleyball match between Wisconsin and Marquette was listed as 10,020 fans on Sept. 17.
It didn’t set an NCAA indoor attendance record like when the teams met in the building in 2023, but there will still be an impact that will be felt in the future as a large percentage of the crowd were young volleyball players who dream of playing on such a big stage.
Sometimes baseball is a funny, cruel sport. In last night’s game, there were 28 hard-hit (95+ MPH exit velocity) balls in the game. Of those, 15 turned into a hit of some kind as the two teams combined for 11 runs, 21 hits, and 25 baserunners. What happens the very next day? A pitching duel of course, capped with a one-hit “complete game” from one of the starters and seven innings of three-hit ball from the other. If that kind of juxtaposition isn’t a perfect encapsulation of the magic of baseball, I don’t know what is.

The Boston Red Sox will probably be looking for another slugger this offseason, as they’ve realized their offense crumbles without their rookie sensation, Roman Anthony. The Sox were linked to a former member of the team in Kyle Schwarber, but now it seems unlikely.
According to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, Schwarber’s current team, the Philadelphia Phillies, are very likely to re-sign them.
