Every week for the duration of the 2025 NFL regular season, USA TODAY Sports will provide timely updates to the league’s ever-evolving playoff picture − typically starting after Sunday afternoon’s late games and then moving forward for the remainder of the week (through Monday’s and Thursday’s games or Saturday’s, if applicable. And, when the holidays roll around, we’ll be watching then, too.

The Chicago Bears’ NFL playoff picture looks like this: They’re 7-3 and would be NFC North champions if the 2025 season ended today.
While Bears fans are drinking that in, Ben Johnson knows the hard work isn’t done, with seven regular-season games to play.
“We’re mid-season right now. So, we’re not even looking at that,” the Bears’ head coach said Sunday after a 19-17 win over the Minnesota Vikings. “We’ve earned seven wins so far, and we’re really looking looking for the opportunity to go 1-0 next week.
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — As the Green Bay Packers earned their sixth win to stay in the playoff picture of a crowded NFC, Matt LaFleur walked toward the doors of the visiting locker room with his gaze focused straight ahead.
After 13- and seven-point outings their prior two games, the Packers had sparked their offense to the tune of a 27-20 win over the New York Giants.
So the Packers head coach and play caller headed back to the locker room with his call sheet and a pen in his right hand, receiver Romeo Doubs to his left side.
One week after taking over the offensive play-calling duties to widespread acclaim and gratitude, Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell showed his inexperience in the role in the team’s Week 11 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Despite a fantastic effort from an undermanned Detroit defense, the Lions offense couldn’t convert several opportunities to seize an important road victory. The Lions failed on five fourth-down conversions, including one deep in the Eagles red zone, in the 16-9 loss.

PHOENIX (AP) — Onyeka Okongwu had 27 points and the Atlanta Hawks overcame a 22-point deficit in the fourth quarter to stun the Phoenix Suns 124-122 on Sunday night.
Atlanta won its fifth straight and ended Phoenix’s winning streak at five. The Hawks finished 4-0 on a western trip.
Nickell Alexander-Walker had 26 points for Atlanta, making the first of two free throws with three seconds to go. Royce O’Neale rebounded the miss on the second one his shot from beyond halfcourt bounced off the rim.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Alex Condon scored 19 points, Thomas Haugh added 17 and No. 10 Florida held on to beat rival Miami 82-68 on Sunday night.
Condon and fellow big man Rueben Chinyelu fouled out with more than five minutes to play, but the Gators (3-1) had enough cushion to close it out with the two starters on the bench. It didn’t help that backup center Micah Handlogten took a shot to the head in the first half and did not return.
