BOCA RATON — It was a ceremonious day for Florida Atlantic’s football team, donning throwback uniforms to celebrate homecoming and posting a dominant win over Tulsa in an American Athletic Conference matchup on Nov. 8.
While the uniforms commemorated the Owls’ 25th anniversary celebration, the present-day team (4-5, 3-3) took down the Golden Hurricane, 40-21. Quarterback Caden Veltkamp tossed three touchdown passes and the Owls defense forced three turnovers and scored a touchdown against Tulsa (2-7, 0-6).
