Qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup could become contested in Europe. According to a report by the Associated Press, UEFA is moving towards a vote to suspend Israel over the war in Gaza.
The AP reports that a majority of Europe’s governing soccer confederation will support any vote to suspend Israeli teams from international play. That would include both the Israel national teams and any club teams.
