Following the Los Angeles Chargers‘ disastrous 35-6 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, here are three overreactions heard in the aftermath of their dismal effort.
Justin Herbert is not an elite quarterback
While the status of “elite” is always up for debate amongst quarterbacks in the NFL, Herbert is still a very high-quality quarterback in his own right. Although he is tasked with competing in a division with Patrick Mahomes, Herbert is often overlooked and sometimes an afterthought.

Sun Devils head coach Kenny Dillingham and Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders have a relationship that has become rare in major sports. Once described by Sanders as being “Big 12 rookies together”, both revere the other at a level that is uncommon today.
Both coaches will face off against each other this Saturday and both will be adversaries come game time.
DENVER (AP) — Kevin Huerter and Nikola Vucevic hit big 3-pointers down the stretch and the Chicago Bulls overcame a triple-double by Nikola Jokic to hold off the Denver Nuggets 130-127 on Monday night.
The Bulls squandered an 18-point lead in the first half. They also let a 13-point lead in the fourth quarter slip away before rallying late to snap a five-game losing streak.
Huerter hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:25 left and Vucevic later extended the lead with another with 33 seconds remaining. Denver had a chance to tie it, but Jokic’s shot at the buzzer was off the mark.
BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Bangot Dak scored 16 points and Sebastian Rancik made all 10 of his foul shots and scored 14 points and Colorado beat Alabama State 94-66 on Monday night.
Reserves Isaiah Johnson, Alon Michaeli and Josiah Sanders each scored 10 for Colorado (4-0). The Buffaloes shot 54% (30 of 56) overcoming a 38%-shooting (6 of 16) effort from the 3-point line.
Colorado had 12 players score.
Asjon Anderson scored 15 points off the bench, Cameron Palesse had 13 and reserve Tyler Mason 11 for the Hornets (2-2).
Receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens were absent from the Cowboys’ starting lineup on Monday night. The reason seems to be that they were absent for one or more other things in recent days.
After the 33-16 win, coach Brian Schottenheimer was asked about the decision to bench the duo for the opening offensive series.
“Made a coach’s decision,” Schottenheimer said, via Bobby Belt of 105.3 The Fan in Dallas. “There were some things that were missed.
